Book Description:

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past. Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered. Love gets ugly.

Thoughts:

Ahhh! This book did it again! It left me bawling (as usual), and I loved every second of it. Yes – at times I was yelling at Tate, but overall I was rooting for her and Miles and enjoyed how the story played out.

My heart broke for Tate and how much his past destroyed his idea of Love again, but I also gave Miles a lot of credit for sticking things out and trying to help him sort through his feelings.

I loved how when Tate is in love, his chapters were written in poetic form. It was extremely unique and made the book fly by reading it. When you read his love for Rachel, my heart broke for him. That, alone, was such a beautiful and sad tale.

Overall, this was a wonderful book. It covered loss, fear, growing up, expectations, heartbreak, remorse and understanding. I highly recommend it!
