Thoughts:
Growth. A word I’ve been obsessed with the past 4-5 years and one that inspires me to do better on a daily basis.
John Maxwell is one of my favorite motivators and this book was another example of why he is one of the best in the business. I love the way he is able to look at the positives in every day life, and to learn and grow from everyday experiences. He reminds us of why growth is so vital in his own words noted below:
🌳 What do I mean when I write about growth? That will be as unique as you are. To discover your purpose, you need to grow in self – awareness. To become a better human being, you need to grow in character. To advance in your career, you need to grow in your skills. To be a better spouse or parent, you need to grow in relationships. […] To enrich your soul, you need to grow spiritually. The specifics of growth change from person to person, but the principles are the same for every person. This book offers laws that will teach you how to approach the worthy goal of growing. It is a key that unlocks the door. You will have to put in the actual work to grow.
This is outlined in the 15 chapters dedicated to:
➡️ The Law of Intentionality: Growth Doesn’t Just Happen
➡️ The Law of Awareness: You Must Know Yourself to Grow Yourself
➡️ The Law of the Mirror: You Must See Value in Yourself to Add Value to Yourself
➡️ The Law of Reflection: Learning to Pause Allows Growth to Catch Up with You
➡️ The Law of Consistency: Motivation Gets You Going – Discipline Keeps You Growing
➡️ The Law of Environment: Growth Thrives in Conductive Surroundings
➡️ The Law of Design: To Maximize Growth, Develop Strategy
➡️ The Law of Pain: Good Management of Bad Experiences Leads to Great Growth
➡️ The Law of the Ladder: Character Growth Determines the Height of Your Personal Growth
➡️ The Law of the Rubber Band: Growth Stops When You Lose the Tension Between Where You Are and Where You Could Be

➡️ The Law of Curiosity: Growth is Stimulated by Asking Why?
➡️ The Law of Modeling: It’s Hard to Improve When You Have No One but Yourself to Follow
➡️ The Law of Expansion: Growth Always Increases Your Capacity
➡️ The Law of Contribution: Growing Yourself Enables You to Grow Others
This book was so incredible but is best taken at a slow pace so the information can work on being applied. This book was filled with incredible quotes and I highly recommend this – especially those who love the personal development space.
