Book Description:

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround them is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying:

Remember. Survive. Run.

Thoughts:

This book was outside of my normal genre, and I listened to it on audio, and I think that added to my appreciation of this story. I never thought I could do audio, and I am discovering that I really enjoy it! I love the different voices used to differentiate between who is talking, and it really kept me wanting to listen to this novel.

Thomas wakes up with no memory but his name. He is surrounded by a group of boys, who also have no memory. The a girl arrives with a note saying that she’s the last one… Piece by piece, they try to escape and free themselves, while also learning parts about their past. Is their memory worth trying to recover? Can they trust the memories that return? Can they trust their instincts?

This was a great audio book and is part of a series (and movie series – I must live under a rock as I didn’t know that until I read this book). Anyone read the entire series? Did you enjoy them and should I keep going?
